Of course, in a comic book about a warrior, what everyone really wants to know is whether she can fight. In this scene Laurel gets a chance to see how Donna Stone handles herself. Yeah, she seems to be handling herself pretty well.

Lots more action coming in the debut issue of Stone by Rick Silva, Tara Veidt, and Vincent Veidt. Full-format 32-page comic book, available in 2010 from Dandelion Studios.

Stone Issue #1 Preview

August 11, 2009

Today’s preview is your first look at Stone, a new fantasy comic from Dandelion Studios. It’s written by Rick Silva, and illustrated by Tara Veidt with digital shading by Vincent Veidt.

This is the story of mercenary warrior woman Donna Stone, and we hope you’re going to like seeing a warrior woman who breaks some of the stereotypes. We hope that you’ll see Donna Stone the way we do: A heroine you can believe in.

Here’s a panel from the first issue where Donna takes a break from her chores for a discussion with Tegan, a member of an outlaw band that Donna has fallen in with.
