New Issue of The Edge of Propinquity
September 15, 2009
Volume 45: September 2009 Hello, Welcome to the Edge of Propinquity. Volume 45 is now published. As the end of Summer leaves on winds that chill the skin and leaves that crunch underfoot, so too, does this month’s offerings arrive. We have a knowing stranger, the rescue of someone dear, an attack from the dark, a line that has been crossed and a secret too big to hide.
Luminations – Isolation, Part Two by Rick Silva Mattie Ives finds herself the sole occupant of the body she formerly shared with Chester Hall. Now she needs to convince Katy McCormick to trust her while they work together to free Chester’s soul. Time is running out, and Mattie must revisit her own worst nightmares if there is to be any chance of saving Chester.
Santa Maria – Chases by James M. Sullivan Mac comes just in time, but he, Daphne, and Kyle all have to come to grips with what the true nature of the danger they are facing is. Ant and Rod talk about baby Helen and Ant pays a steep price for helping friends in need.
Solstice – Summer, Part Three by Ivan Ewert The final Summer interval sees Sherif MacIntyre and Kim Soon, cementing a friendship that has grown strong since last Winter. Yet the introduction of a new face – or is it several new faces in one – could spell a phase of trouble for the both of them.
Danyael – The Power to Change the World by Nick Bergeron This is the end of all things. There will be other things after, but the entire world that existed before this point will be blown away. What do you do when you discover that you’ve had the power to change everything all along? I did something terrible.
Guest Author – My Rough Cut by Christopher Green Nick found the girl of his dreams. She’s smart, funny, beautiful and has great taste in movies. But Amy has a secret; a big one that could turn Nick’s dream into a nightmare. The choice he makes will affect them both for decades to come.
Have you ever looked over the edge and seen something looking back at you?

A Very Special Announcement From Rick Silva
September 13, 2009
In a couple of days, Gynn and I will be traveling to China to finalize the adoption of our son. We’ve only had a bit more that a week’s notice, so it’s been a pretty hectic time as we get things squared away with our respective day jobs while packing, making travel arrangements, and only occasionally taking a moment to think OMG WE”RE GOING TO BE PARENTS!
I’m doing a bit of clean-up on the site today, and I’ve added the last installment of the first set of Kaeli & Rebecca: Exiles in Kess stories, reprinted from Kinships magazine.
That’s going to be it as far as site updates for the next three weeks. We invite you to join us here in October, when we will resume a regular series of previews for our upcoming comics:
- Zephyr & Reginald: Minions for Hire #3
- Stone #1
- Kaeli & Rebecca #1
- Perils of Picorna #1
- Unpopular Species #2
- Knifeclaw Company
All orders received over the next three weeks will be shipped out in early October. We appreciate your patience, and look forward to our return with the new Editor-In-Training!
