Left-Handed Engineers From MARZ
The beach evangelist

Marsh, Tracy, Zephyr, and Reginald were taking a pleasant evening stroll on the boardwalk. They passed a variety of people, including one young man handing out pamphlets. He stopped the group and started talking to Zephyr. Marsh and Tracy listened with gleeful anticipation; Reg was distracted (he was probably calculating the frequency of the ocean waves or something).

"Hello there," said the young man. "I would like to tell you how to bring the Lord Jesus Christ into your life."

"Thanks, but n--" said Zephyr.

"Do you feel like something really important is missing from your life?" the man inquired. "An empty feeling in your heart? Are you searching for a more fulfilling life? I can tell you why you feel this way. My friend, you're on the wrong path."

"I, uh--" said Zephyr.

"You are living a life of sin and lies. That's why your life feels dark and unfulfilling. Only Jesus can show you the true path."

"Actually, I--" said Zephyr.

"Please take this tract and read it. I'm positive that it will touch your heart in a way that nothing in this world can. And please come visit us as the Grace Fellowship church on Vine street. I'm Jimmy; I'll be looking for you. We can show you how to turn your back on dark, sinful ways and walk in the light of Christ."

"Er," said Zephyr.

"Have a good evening!" the young man said jovially.

The group moved on, and when they were out of earshot, Marsh looked at Zephyr incredulously. "What was that?!"

"We thought you were going to run him over, Zeph!" Tracy added. "What happened back there?"

Zephyr shrugged at them. "I didn't know what to say. It was like he was speaking a different language, all that circular logic and all."

"But," Tracy pointed out, "shouldn't their poor logic make it easier?"

"I can never argue with those people," Zephyr said. "I wasn't brought up on that stuff, you know."

Marsh nodded sympathetically. "Yeah, you have to know what to expect. Here, let me give you a few pointers about how Christians argue."

And thus began Marsh's endeavor to turn Zephyr into the street preacher's worst nightmare. Nobody is sure why he did it, but he probably learned a lot about himself in the process. Tracy eventually joined in, which surprised everyone, herself included. She hadn't shown any previous signs of having issues with religious fundamentalists. Maybe it was her rebellious streak, stifled too long, finally coming out.

We'll have to tune in again someday and see what kind of progress they make.
