Principal Holding: The port city of Glass Harbor at the western end of Midrealm Bay and Bay
County, which extends into the Oxton Woods to the west to the town of Oxton Dale.
Additional Holdings: The town of Mills, which controls a crossroad and the major crossing
point of the South Ayes River.

Outlook: House Salkesson maintains a large fleet, although they have a reputation as calm-weather
sailors who keep to the Midrealm Bay rather than braving the open sea as House Pax is known
to do.

House Salkesson is known for shrewd trading and even shrewder politics. They have never held
the throne, but have always been a major player behind the scenes, and they were the leaders of
the coalition that ended House Kassof's short-lived control of the kingdom during the Second
Civil War. Although the war was settled by treaty and the neutral House Vasille assumed power,
Salkesson has always spoken of that ending as a great victory. In fact, it is well known that they
would have much preferred the throne for themselves and they still hold ambitions to one day
rule Ferstaal.

In recent years, they have reached out to their ancient enemies in House Kassof in an attempt to
mend old hostilities. Athough nothing formal has come yet from these gestures, rumors are
beginning to swirl of a pact that has been drafted, perhaps to be sealed by a marriage between
the two families.

This has not sat well with their traditional allies, House Stagg, which fears being abandoned
in favor of the new alliance.
